James Dyson unveils his design school to be based in Bath, just a few minutes walk from where I live. Its an interesting plan. At the moment the whole face of Bath is being redeveloped, some good like this project, others bad like the Riverside development. The design schools aim is to give 14 to 19 year olds a foothold into the product design and engineering industry. It does seem a shame that its
Deserted streets

Creative Review has posted up a series of images showing prominent streets of London by Austrian artist Gregor Graf. He basically photoshops out all of the usual street clutter - people, cars, shop signs and branding - leaving you to guess where the street actually is. I'm more amazed that he's captured London with blue skies and fluffy white clouds, or is that just more photoshoppotrickery?

A slightly off topic post, but it does fall into the architecture eye-candy category. This new Turkish hotel is right in the centre of Istanbul. The rest of the place might be utterly awful but when you have a room like this you can't complain. For that holiday when you really must feel like Captain Nemo. I hate to think how much a night there would cost.Via NOTCOT.

These cards are a great way to liven up your poker game if you're of a creative leaning. Going all-in with a full house of Gehry, Corbusier, Wright, Foster and Rogers is definitely going to raise your game.And whilst I'm at the Design Museum shop best to pick up some cool nerdy post-it notes!

The Photographers' Gallery is about to get a new home which will cost £15.5 Million. It should be open in 2010. Not many details so far - but its a place in need of some attention - can't wait to see the outcome.
